Privacy Policy

US Newspapers — Paperly (previously published as “Popular US Newspapers”) is a free news aggregator made by Moon Apps Gallery (“we”, “the Service Provider”). The app is provided “as is”.

It is a directory. Tapping a masthead opens that publisher’s own website inside the app. We do not host, copy, rewrite or claim ownership of any news content, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any publication listed.

We do not ask you to create an account and we never request your name, email address or phone number. The app and the services it uses may automatically receive:

• Your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address
• Which screens of the app you open, and when
• Your device model, operating system and app version
• Crash and error diagnostics when something goes wrong
• An advertising identifier, if you consent to personalised advertising

Some things are saved so the app remembers you between sessions. All of it stays in the app’s private storage on your phone. None of it is uploaded to us or to anyone else.

• Favourites — the newspapers you press and hold to save
• Bookmarks — pages you save while reading (up to 20)
• Theme choice — light, dark or system
• Counters used to space out adverts and to decide when to show a review prompt

Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

The Breaking tab shows recent headlines gathered from the public RSS feeds that publishers themselves provide for this purpose.

• Only the headline, a short summary, a thumbnail and a link are shown — never the body of an article.
• Tapping a headline opens the publisher’s own page, exactly as tapping a masthead does.
• These requests are made by your device directly to the publisher. We do not run a server in between, and we do not log what you read.

The app is free and is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob.

Before a single advert is requested, the app shows Google’s User Messaging Platform consent form, which asks how your data may be used. Your answer is respected:

• If you consent, you may see personalised adverts.
• If you decline, you will see non-personalised adverts instead.
• You can change your mind at any time: Settings → Ad privacy options inside the app.

Adverts appear only on our own screens — the home grid, the headline list, and between screens. No advert is ever placed on a page belonging to a publisher.

Only aggregated, anonymised data is shared with the services below, which help us run and improve the app. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Google Play Services
• Google AdMob — advertising
• Google User Messaging Platform — consent
• Google Analytics for Firebase
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting
• Google Play In-App Review

The app is free and sells nothing. There is no in-app purchase and no subscription of ours.

Many publishers do run paywalls. If a newspaper asks you to log in or to subscribe, that page belongs to the publisher and the arrangement is entirely between you and them.

Questions about a subscription, refund or account must be taken up with the publisher concerned. We cannot access, change or cancel it.

The app links to 105 publications, grouped into four categories. Tapping any of them opens that publisher’s official website. We do not host or own any of this content.
